Windows 10: Microsoft stops support for the November Update

With the release for all of Windows 10 Creators Update, Microsoft fixes the Windows 10 November Update to October 10, 2017.

After the original version of Windows 10 whose support ended on May 9, the November Update will expire on October 10th. Like the original version of the operating system (1507), November Update - alias 1511- is part of the branch code code Threshold.

The Anniversary Update (1607), as well as the Creators Update (1703) and the Fall Creators Update are currently being finalized in the Redstone branch. According to dates still provisional for the time, support for version 1607 and 1703 should end in March and September 2018.

The "winver" command displays the version of the installed Windows operating system. The same information is found directly in the parameters (Systems, then System Information).

For each major release of Windows 10, Microsoft is heading for an 18-month support period, and with the release of two major releases per year in March and September.

This calendar, which is almost non-LTS Ubuntu type, has taken shape with the announcement of the release of Windows 10 Creators Update (1703) for everyone.
